OPEN CALL – for dance pieces

We are looking for dance pieces to be performed january 22nd – 25th 2026, at Theater Pavillon, Lucerne 

Are you a professional dancer / choreographer working with non-professional dancers on an artistic project?

Then we cordially invite you to submit your piece for the Tanzmehr Festival 2026. For your entry to be considered, the dancing «life experts» must be significantly involved in the creative development process of the piece. Possible lengths for pieces: 10 to a maximum of 45 minutes. We are looking for dance performances of any dance style by / with one to a maximum of 20 dancers of all ages and can present up to 16 pieces from all over Switzerland. Because inclusion and diversity on the Tanzmehr Festival stage are important to us, we particularly encourage applications from groups that include people who have been negatively affected by racism, people with disabilities, or with chronic illnesses.

Application deadline: May 23, 2025. You will be hearing back from us until the 4th of July 25

Tanzmehr anderes festival commun is a national platform for participatory, diverse artistic dance projects. For four days, children, young people, seniors, and middle-aged adults, with and without disabilities, dance on our stage as part of 16 groups from across Switzerland. We raise awareness of Artistic Community Dance (ACD) in Switzerland and are committed to providing low-threshold access to artistic dance.
